Visit Te Puia and gain an understanding of Maori culture
(wood carving and flax weaving), language, myths and
history. View mighty geysers and boiling bubbling mud
pools. At the Agrodome watch the Sheep Show showcas-
ing New Zealand farm life. Highlights include a sheep
shearing demonstration and a sheep dog trial. Experience
a guided tour through Rainbow Springs Nature Park where
you will encounter many of New Zealand's most famous
flora and fauna, and endangered species such as the Kiwi.

Board the "Wai Ora" fast catamaran and cross the lake to
Mokoia Island.

On arrival at Mokoia Island, experience a traditional Maori
welcome before commencing on a guided walk through
the Mokoia Island wildlife sanctuary. Learn about the many
indigenous species of birdlife that inhabit this sanctu-
ary and enjoy the pristine natural environment. At the
conclusion of the guided walk you can bathe your feet in
Hinemoa's hot pool and hear the legend of Tutanekai and
Hinemoa - New Zealand's very own Romeo and Juliet.
