Day 1: Auckland - Hobiton - Rotorua 3 hours
Your Rental Car will be available for you at your chosen Auckland
Destingtion. Travel to the rolling hills of Matamata otherwise known as “Hobbiton”
This is the only place open to the public where a Lord of the Rings Set still
remain.
Continue on to Rotorua, one of the World's most active volcanic zones. For
over 150,000 years, powerful volcanic activity has formed this region into
the awe inspiring state that it is today.
Enjoy an evening of entertainment with local Maori, who offer a traditional welcoming, Concert and “Hangi” (Dinner)

Day 2: Rotorua – Taupo – Tongariro National Park 2.5 hours
Today you have multiple adventures to choose in Rotorua, including but not limited to - skyline gondola and luge rides, white-water rafting, zorbing, mountain biking through native forest, culture and farm shows or checking out the famous thermally active areas in the area. This afternoon travel Past New Zealands biggest lake; Lake Taupo to Tongariro National Park (Home of Mount Doom) for your unique accommodation at The Grand Chateau Tongariro.

Day 3: Tongariro National Park - Wellington 4 hours
Today Drive to Wellington. This afternoon you will arrive in the capital of Middle Earth. If you have enough time. Be sure to check out some of the Lord of the Rings locations. (Available in the Locations Guide Book).
Take a stroll along the waterfront or visit Te Papa Museum. Wellington is famous for its nightlife and cafes and is known as the creative capital of New Zealand.

Day 4:Wellington
Today will most certainly be a Lord of the Rings extravaganza. Take a guided tour of the Wellington region. Wellington was widely featured in the lord of the rings Trilogy. Explore the capital of Middle earth with a focus on the film locations used during filming of Lord of the Rings (LOTR) movies. Visit the Outskirts of the Shire, The Race to the Ferry, Dunharrow, Village of Bree, Rivendell, Fords of Isen, Gardens of Isengard, River Anduin, Minas Tirith and Helms Deep.

Day 5:Wellington
Today is free for you to discover Wellington at your own leisure. Suggested Activities: Visit Te Papa (our
national Museum), the Bee Hive (Parliament buildings),Get on cablecar then walk down to botanical garden indulge in the culinary
delights of one of Wellington's many cafes and restaurants. Climb Mt
Victoria and enjoy the fantastic Harbour views or perhaps just relax on the
beach.
