You can choose your own route, stop when you like, sail when you like (subject to availability) and travel as many times as you wish within the validity of this flexible pass - hop on and off our tourist trains where and when you wish. While touring New Zealand, you can travel between islands with ease as your pass includes travel on the Interislander ferries between Wellington and Picton. Our carriages are carpeted, centrally heated and air-conditioned, so you can sit back and enjoy the view from your panoramic window. All trains are licensed and include a buffet carriage where you can purchase a wide selection of light meals and snacks.
Please Note:
The train may depart intermediate stations earlier if all booked passengers are onboard. Passengers are advised to be at all stations at least 20 minutes before the time shown.
The Overlander train will operate - Operates 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 9 May 2008 to 30 November 2008 and 1 May 2009 to 27 September 2009.
Operates 7 days (Monday to Sunday) from 5 December 2008 to 26 April 2009 excluding Christmas Day.
